Bookplate Otto Verhagen. Original woodcut on thin paper. Circa 1929. Monogrammed in the plate b.l. 19 x 12 cm (sheet), 9.5 x 6 cm (image). Good impression. Very rare. Provenance: Dutch private collection. Alongside Carel de Nerée tot Babberich (1880–1909) and René Gockinga (1893–1962), Otto Verhagen (1885–1951) was one of the few highly talented Dutch artists of the early 20th century who steadfastly upheld Beardsley’s decadent queer tradition.
