The bookseller and publisher François Halma reissued the bombastic original three decades later, now translated into Dutch prose and — against the backdrop of renewed Franco-Dutch hostility around 1701 — supplemented with his own \"tegenzangen\": Dutch counter-poems in response to the French song of triumph. The edition is illustrated with an engraved plate of the statue of Louis XIV on the Place des Victoires in Paris, erected in 1686 by Marshal de la Feuillade.
